Privacy Policy
Quady Winery takes pride in producing exceptional wines and providing excellent customer service. We want to make your experience with us as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Part of achieving this goal involves gathering and working with various forms of personal information.
Your privacy is very important to us and we are committed to maintaining your privacy when you communicate with us via the internet, by telephone, mail or otherwise. We have created this Privacy Policy to inform you of the care with which we intend to treat your personal information.
We want you to be able to use the internet’s vast array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence. Any information that is voluntarily provided to us through our website is kept confidential and secure, and is treated with the same consideration and respect for privacy as any information sent to us through the U.S. mail service or communicated to us by telephone or fax.
Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to: a first and last name, a home or other physical address, and an email address or other contact information, whether at work or at home.
Note that to the extent any portions of the following Privacy Policy are inconsistent with applicable law or regulations, or to the extent you provide your express consent for uses not specifically described below, then such laws or regulations, or your express consent, will govern our use of your personally identifiable information.
General Information Collection
You may choose whether or not to provide personal information to us. We will not collect personal information about you, unless you provide us that information voluntarily. We will not request or collect especially sensitive personally identifiable information, such as religious preferences, racial or ethnic background or other similar forms of data
Other Forms of Information or Data Collected
If you use our website, we may collect non-personally identifiable information about your use of the site such as IP addresses, domains, service providers, device type, operating system, browser and version, language settings, geographical region, and click-through statistics. This is achieved by the use of cookies.
A cookie is a very small text file placed on your hard drive by a web page server. Cookies cannot be executed as malicious code or deliver viruses. Most browsers have the ability to handle cookies with three options: allow, notify the user, or decline. Most browsers are initially set to automatically accept them by default. You can set your browser to notify you when you have received a cookie, giving you the opportunity to decide whether to accept it. You also have the option to reject our cookies and still use the site, but you may not be able to access or use some of the features we offer on the site such as placing an order online. If you do not wish to enable cookies but would like to order wine, please call (800) 733-8068.
We may use either session ID cookies and/or persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once a user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on a user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies are used to remember some of the information you’ve given us so you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following the directions in your browser’s help section.
By showing how and when you use our site, cookies help us see which areas are popular and which are not. We then aggregate this information with other pieces of information to improve and update our site to make your experience on our site as valuable and as efficient as possible. Cookies also allow us to store the personal preferences that you set during each visit to our site, which in turn allows us to speed up your future navigation activities at our site.
Security
We are committed to protecting the information we receive from you. Wherever your personal information may be held within Quady Winery or on its behalf, we follow reasonable technical, organizational, and management practices to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information that you share with us from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Quady Winery urges all internet users to take responsible and appropriate steps to safeguard their personal information to help protect their privacy while on the internet. While no computer system is completely secure and no transmission of data over the internet is guaranteed to be completely secure, we believe the measures we have implemented reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved. Although we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, we cannot promise or guarantee, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or communications with us will always remain private. For example, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the site or your PC by unauthorized third parties that may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.
Our online store uses encryption technology to keep your personal information safe. All of your ordering information, including your name, address, and credit card information is encrypted using a secure server. The server encrypts the data using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to provide for the secure transmission of the information from your PC to our servers. Your credit card and billing information cannot be read once encrypted as it travels to our ordering system.
Credit card transactions are securely handled by WineDirect, Quady Winery, and WineDirect Payments (iaccess). Each entity is PCI DSS compliant. In addition, only those employees and third parties who need access to your information in order to perform their duties are allowed such access.
